Memorial Day Weekend brings more change?

Well, it's Memorial Day weekend, my lovelies, and it finds us in the same old place... Our plans for a last camping trip before I'm too big to enjoy it, has been ousted by the promise of more rain! But that's okay, we will as always find a way to enjoy ourselves despite the pleasures mother nature is bringing us this year! Tomorrow we're going to have a BBQ with John's family, and then it will be off to my parent's for more food, and an attempt to try and help them get ready for their auction in June....

But the best part of this Memorial Day? It marks our 9 week countdown! That's right only 9 weeks before Mr. Anslowe Bileyeu Grimsrud is scheduled to arrive! I am so excited, and oh, so oh so ready! John is excited too... he tells me sometimes it feels like it's just not coming fast enough! Although if you ask me in one of my more manic moods I am bound to disagree, there are after all about a zillion things that need to be completed before his arrival, although, I won't lie, I'd be happy if he just allows me to get his bedroom done before"The Day"!

Another fantastic change that we can celebrate this weekend? John finally has a new job! One that will help us get back on our feet, and prevent us from constantly looking underneath to figure out when our foundation is going to fall out! Financially it will be great for us, but the best part of it is, he's doing something he can be passionate about again. It's been over a year and a half since he stopped being a CNA, and since then, I haven't seen him truly believe in anything he's done.. job wise.. But now you can see it on his face, and read it in the tone of his voice when he talks about it! He is working for a company called Gold Star Systems. They sell smoke and fire detectors. But their main goal, the part that John really seems to believe in, is that they are trying to educate people on how dangerous, and how probable a fire really is in your home. But apparently, that's not the worse part, the worse part is the failure rate of the smoke detectors in most peoples homes.  For me listening to his presentation, the scary part wasn't how many fires there are, but how many of the people who have been killed or injured thought they were protected because they had these regular detectors in their house! Anyways, that's what he is up to, and I'm so proud of him because it means he has to get out there and do the hardest thing ever, really talk to people! :)  If you're interested in hearing what he has to say, drop either of us a line on here or facebook, I'm sure he'd love to help show you a couple ways to make your home safer!

Okay, enough of that! Back to what is important! ME!! Just kidding. School has been out for the kids of NU for a week now, and Tavner already has his bag packed for Montana! God love that kid, but if I didn't know any better I'd wonder if he actually loved me, as eager as he is to get the heck out of dodge! But in all seriousness I am SO happy that loves our family so much that he can think of no better way of spending his summer, then by being with them. I haven't had the heart to tell him I haven't heard from anyone, so I'm not even sure if anyone has the time to take him this summer, but I sure hope so. Either way we'll be going next weekend for Traci's wedding! I can't wait to see her get married! I was just looking through pictures and found one of her at about with this red gold hair, at about 2! Great part about being so much older then the rest of the cousins is that Sammy Jo and I have had the honor of watching all of these wonderful people grow into themselves~ It's a beautiful thing to witness in those you love!

One more not so awesome change, is that I got the results back from my Glucose Tolerance test, and while I do not have Gestational Diabetes, I am borderline, so doc's orders say to limit my carb intake, and up my protein intake...

All in all it's a time for change for us, and I have to admit I'm loving every minute of it... the good and the bad, just help to remind me how fantastic it is to have the family I have, both my immediate and my not so immediate. Now if I could just convince those I love that SD is better then CA (AshaLeigh & Heather) my life would be complete!

I love you all, and for now I will sign off from this novel that I have just written, and say I hope you all are counting the changes in your lives as blessing too~
Mrs. DeLana R. Grimsrud
